Task 1: Free Space Propagation and Path Loss

A complete MATLAB code that must calculate all the attributes like free space propagation, transmit power and free space path loss is submitted. The code will be in executable GNU Octave code with all the plots in a single word file. The code must contain the curves plotted in the form of output while running the code.

Task 2: Research Project

Solution 1:

In the solution, the capacity of the cell along with the base station’s locations are explained. All the areas i.e. urban, semi urban and rural will be explained in terms of the cell congestion. The cell splitting will tell the central business district location along with the boundaries and the height of the antenna. In the solution all the information will be covered such that base stations sites locations, antenna specifications like shape, size, height and gain. Nonetheless, the type of cell area will be considered representing the density of the traffic in Erlang.

Solution 2

From the solution 1, the user will depict the shape of the antenna which best fits and justifiable according to the given scenario. A complete reasoning will be explained along with the evidence of shape and justification regarding the shape of antenna which is used in representing the traffic density in Erlang.
