Installation of Oracle Virtual box

 Oracle Virtual Box 6.0.4 is the Powerful tool for x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization products for home use as well as Enterprise use. It is an open source software application which is freely available on the Internet under the tern of GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2. The user can install Virtual box on a different platform such as Macintosh, Windows, Linux, Solaris and along with this virtual box supports a large number of Guest operating system, and for some of guest operating system, a “Guest Additions” software package application is available which enhance the graphics quality and performance of software application.

Minimum System Hardware Requirements

  • Processor - 1GHz or High
  • Swap Space - 2.1 GB
  • Memory - 1 GB for 32-bit OS and 2GB for 64-bit OS
  • Free Hard Disk Space - 16 GB
  • Graphics Card - Microsoft DirectX 9 Graphics device with WDDM driver.
  • Operating System Supported - Linux Distribution, Mac OS, Windows, Solaris.

Steps for Installing Oracle Virtual Box 6.0.4

 

Step 1. Go to VirtualBox official website that is https://www.virtualbox.org/, and the user has to download VirtualBox 6.0.4 for windows. The user can download the latest version of Version of Virtual by clicking on https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads.  

Step 2. After Downloading the software user have to run “VirtualBox-6.0.4-128413-Win.exe” to start the Installation process. As shown in Screenshot below, the user has to click on “Next” for the next step.

Step 3.  User have to provide a location for storing the installation files by clicking on “Browse”. In this installation, we will take default location for storing Installation files.

Step 4.  User have to select features which are listed in the screenshot below as per its needs or user can Click on “Next” and features will be selected automatically.

Step 5. As shown in the screenshot below, the dialog box warns the user about setting up a network interface. It means that Network connection of system will be temporarily disconnected as VirtualBox will install various interface in the system that will be used for interacting with the host operating system and installed virtual machines in the virtual box.

Step 6. Now, User have to click on the “Install” button to start the installation process.

Step 7.  After clicking on Install Button user can see that the installation of VirtualBox has started.

Note. In the installation process it will ask about “User Control permission” and user have to select the “Yes” button to continue with the installation process.

Step 8. Now, the user can see that Installation of VirtualBox is Completed and by selecting “Start Oracle VM VirtualBox 6.0.4 after installation” user can start the VirtualBox machine in windows machine.

Step 9. After the above process VirtualBox software application will automatically be launched in the system as shown below.
